Pat and Mark met at a Kingsbury Manx show on Nov. 4, 2000. After exchanging unpleasantries, they bonded over their love for Tom Waits, Prince, and Psychedelic Music. After several months of bonding over drinks, they realized that they both knew how to play instruments, and could start what is known as a "band". So they got together with a drummer, named themselves "the mudtoys" and started making some noise. Shows were played, songs were recorded, cd's were made, press was given, and drummers came and went. They learned how to record their music and had a friend make a website where they could post their songs. After collaborating with several musicians, they added Al on bass and Tom on drums, and can be heard making more noise in the twilight hours of Chicago
